Making music together for people with dementia and their relatives - resonare singing groups<\/p>\n
Music has a special power to move the mind and gladden the heart. In the resonare singing groups, people with dementia and their relatives are given the opportunity to experience the positive effect of music on memory and its balancing and emotional impact in a unique experiential space.<\/p>\n
The aim of these groups is to discover together the music that shapes the lives of the participants. Folk songs are sung, well-known melodies from operetta and opera are tried out and creative interaction is encouraged. Individually adapted dance and play activities as well as small theatrical scenes create moments of joy and amusement. The shared experience strengthens social interaction and provides relaxation.<\/p>\n
Concerts and making music together for more cultural participation<\/p>\n
The specially designed concerts not only offer the opportunity to listen, but also to actively sing along. This promotes cultural participation and creates a community experience that enriches everyday life. Visits to selected performances complement the project and offer additional cultural experiences.<\/p>\n
resonare music project: Together against the taboo of dementia<\/p>\n
The resonare music project is an initiative of the Komische Oper Berlin in collaboration with the memory clinic of the Charit\u00e9 - Universit\u00e4tsmedizin Berlin. The project actively contributes to removing the taboo surrounding dementia and sets an example for the appreciation of the work of relatives. The project is funded by the Manfred Strohscheer Foundation.<\/p>\n
